«Barcelona» offered 80 million euros for Anthony Gordon
Barcelona has officially begun negotiations to sign Anthony Gordon from Manchester United, according to Zamin.uz.

Head coach Hansi Flick is considering the English winger as a primary target to strengthen the attacking line. According to recent reports, the Catalans have offered €80 million plus performance-related bonuses for the player.

This is reported by Goal. Sporting director Deco and head coach Flick hold Gordon’s talent in high regard.

They view him as a suitable replacement for Marcus Rashford, who has been underperforming on loan. Although Barcelona could buy out Rashford for €30 million, the club’s management believes Gordon, being younger and on a lower salary, would be more beneficial for long-term planning.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag left Gordon out of several matchday squads toward the end of the season, signaling the club’s openness to a sale.

Talks between the two clubs are currently ongoing and intense, with Barcelona aiming to conclude the deal as quickly as possible.

Barcelona’s management wants to finalize the transfer swiftly to avoid competition from other clubs. For Anthony Gordon, Bayern Munich in Germany has also emerged as a serious contender.

However, due to Bayern’s reluctance to meet the €80 million asking price, Barcelona has gained the upper hand. Additionally, influential English clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal have previously shown interest in the player.

Despite this, Gordon himself has expressed a preference to play in La Liga. It should be recalled that in 2024, he came very close to joining Liverpool, but the transfer ultimately fell through for various reasons.

Now, with Liverpool out of the race, the talented winger has an opportunity to continue his career at a Spanish giant. If the parties reach an agreement, this transfer could become one of the most talked-about events of the summer window.
