"Inter" wants to buy Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Italian Inter club has entered official negotiations to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones during the summer transfer window, Zamin.uz reports.
The talented English player is reluctant to extend his current contract with his club. He aims to secure his place in the national team and fully showcase his talent by regularly playing in the starting lineup.
Inter’s management, reigning Serie A champions and Coppa Italia holders, wants to complete this transfer as soon as possible, ideally in the early weeks of the summer window. According to well-known insider Janluka Di Marsio, talks between the clubs have reached a serious stage.
Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio and Liverpool representative Richard Hughes met in person to discuss the 23-year-old’s future. While the Italian club seeks to strengthen its squad, the Merseyside side has begun rebuilding after a disappointing season.
According to Goal.com, the agreement is expected to be mutually beneficial. Curtis Jones’ current contract with Liverpool expires next year.
At present, the player earns £50,000 per week and has rejected the club’s new offer. Although he made 49 appearances across all competitions last season, he now wishes to leave his backup role and become a regular starter.
Having not been included in England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, the player has set his goal to participate in the 2028 European Championship. A move to Serie A could open a new chapter in his career.
If the deal is successfully completed, Jones’ long-term association with Liverpool, where he came through the academy, will end. For reference, he made 228 appearances for the Reds, scoring 22 goals and providing 25 assists.
His honors include eight major trophies, including two English league titles and a Champions League victory. Both clubs are currently working to finalize the transfer details.
