Montella happy with Turkish win over USA

Turkey national football team head coach Vincenzo Montella expressed his opinion after the match in which the team defeated the USA in the group stage of the World Cup. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the Italian specialist, the team proved that it could change the direction of the game even in a difficult situation. Montella explained this by the players' good understanding of their tasks on the field.

Montella said: If we didn't have a team that knew what it was doing, we wouldn't have been able to change the result of the match. The head coach did not agree with the players' view that the sharp criticism directed at them during the tournament was unfair.

In his opinion, the players did not deserve such harsh criticism. Therefore, I am very happy that they managed to secure this victory.

The specialist expressed hope that Turkey would not have to wait many more years to reach the next World Cup. I hope that Turkey will not have to wait another 24 years to qualify for the World Cup.
