Andrey Fyodorov, a former player of the Uzbekistan national team, shared his thoughts on the unsuccessful results in the tournament. Commenting on the appointment of head coach Fabio Cannavaro, he stated that if he were the decision-maker, he would not have appointed the former Italian national team player as head coach, but would have kept Timur Kapadze in the position.

For this, first and foremost, the DR Congo national team must be defeated." Fyodorov assessed DR Congo as a serious opponent and specifically emphasized that this team has demonstrated its strengths in the group stage.
