The official calendar for the new season of the Spanish La Liga has been announced

The official calendar for the 2026/27 season of the Spanish football championship has been announced, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The new La Liga season will kick off on August 14, with the opening round promising a series of intense matches. Top clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético Madrid are set to begin their campaigns against serious opponents.
In particular, Barcelona will host Athletic Bilbao in the opening fixture, while defending champions Real Madrid will travel to face Real Sociedad. Atlético Madrid will host Málaga at home.
Looking at the full schedule for the first round, Alavés will face Getafe, Celta will play Osasuna, Deportivo will take on Elche, Espanyol will meet Levante, Racing will face Villarreal, Sevilla will play Rayo Vallecano, and Valencia will take on Betis. All matches are scheduled to take place between August 14 and August 16.
According to One.uz, the marquee El Clásico matches between Barcelona and Real Madrid are scheduled for rounds 10 and 35. The first encounter is expected around October 25, with the return leg anticipated on May 9 of the following year.
It should be noted that La Liga authorities typically confirm exact match dates closer to the games, based on broadcast rights and other logistical factors. Similarly, the dates for the Madrid derby and other key fixtures have been provisionally set.
The derby between Real and Atlético Madrid is provisionally scheduled for September 20 and April 4, while Barcelona and Atlético will meet on November 8 and February 7.
