Sandro Tonali left Manchester City for Tottenham

The talented defensive midfielder of the Italian national team, Sandro Tonali, is on the verge of opening a new chapter in his career. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the latest information, the footballer has reached an agreement with the London club Tottenham. After demonstrating his high level of performance at Newcastle United, the Italian player even rejected offers from some of the world's strongest teams, such as Manchester City, choosing exactly the London club, which caused a major stir in the transfer market.

This unexpected decision has become the focus of attention for many specialists and fans. Sandro Tonali openly explained the reasons behind his choice.

As he emphasized, Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi played the key role in this transfer. After speaking with the Italian specialist, the footballer put an end to all doubts about his future.

According to Tonali, De Zerbi's football philosophy and style of play fully align with his views. Mutual trust between the coach and the player served as the foundation of this agreement.

Moreover, family circumstances also played an important role in this decision. After spending three years in Newcastle, the footballer and his partner decided to change their lifestyle.

Living in London was considered more convenient for the young family with a child. De Zerbi inspired confidence in Tonali not only as a compatriot and close friend, but also as an experienced coach, believing in his success in the new project.

Financially, this transfer sets record-breaking figures. Tottenham's management is ready to spend a total of 100 million pounds sterling on the player.

Of this amount, 92.5 million pounds will be guaranteed payment, while the remaining part will be paid as bonuses for various achievements. This is a very profitable deal for Newcastle United, as they had previously bought Tonali from Milan at a much lower price.

Now the club stands to make a significant net profit from this deal. Sandro Tonali will also receive a high salary at his new club.

His weekly earnings are expected to exceed 275 thousand pounds sterling. The footballer will soon travel to London to undergo a medical examination and sign the contract.

He stated that he is parting ways with his former club on good terms and believes this transfer will be beneficial for all parties. This news, reported by Goal.com, clearly indicates that the competition in the English championship is set to become even more exciting.
