Moroccan Ismail Saibari left the field with an injury

The successful performance of the Moroccan national team at the World Cup faced an unexpected setback. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The team's starting midfielder, Ismael Saibari, suffered a serious injury during the quarterfinal match against the Canadian national team, forcing him to leave the field early. This situation not only worried the Moroccan coaching staff but also put the management of his new club, Bayern Munich from Germany, on high alert.
This was reported by Goal.com. In the 25th minute of the match, the 25-year-old footballer felt sharp pain in the lower part of his right leg.
Despite several attempts to continue playing, he was eventually forced to ask for a substitution. The deep sorrow on Saibari's face as he left the pitch, along with tears in his eyes, indicated the possible severity of the injury.
Coach Mohamed Wahbi decided to change the team's tactics by substituting Saibari with Soufiane Rahimi. This injury not only raises questions about his participation in the tournament but also casts doubt on his upcoming activities at the club level.
Bayern Munich had officially announced Ismael Saibari's transfer just a few days earlier. The Munich club had acquired the midfielder from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of fifty million euros and signed him to a long-term contract running until June 2030.
Ismael Saibari had been one of the standout performers for Morocco throughout the tournament. Up to the quarterfinal stage, he had scored three goals against opponents.
His departure from the field is a significant blow to Morocco's championship ambitions, as the team's central play largely revolved around this player. Currently, the exact extent of the injury is not fully known.
Medical examinations in the near future will clarify the footballer's prospects for further participation in the World Cup. If it turns out to be a simple muscle strain, he may be able to return to the field in the later stages of the tournament.
However, if a serious condition such as a muscle tear is diagnosed, it could rule him out not only for the remainder of the tournament but also for Bayern Munich's preparation for the second half of the Bundesliga season.
For Moroccan fans, the only consolation is that the team's attacking potential remains strong.
Although Saibari left the pitch, Ibrahima Dias delivered an outstanding performance with two assists, securing Morocco's 3-0 victory. Nevertheless, the absence of the key player ahead of the semifinals could create serious tactical problems.
Bayern Munich's management remains in constant contact with the Moroccan national team's medical staff. For the German club, having their new signing start the season with an injury is considered one of the worst-case scenarios.
