Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard is set to transfer to Besiktas

London's Arsenal and Turkey's Beşiktaş have reached a final agreement regarding the transfer of experienced Belgian forward Leandro Trossard. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The 31-year-old footballer, who became one of the key members of the team led by Mikel Arteta, is very close to continuing his career in Turkey. This agreement is being viewed as the next step for the London club in rejuvenating the squad and ensuring financial stability.

Goal.com is reporting on this. According to the information received, the Turkish giant has achieved significant results in negotiations with Arsenal and has agreed to pay 20 million euros for the player.

According to the terms of the agreement, Beşiktaş will initially transfer 18 million euros, and the remaining 2 million euros will be paid as a bonus based on the player's performance. Currently, the parties are discussing the final details of the player's personal contract and his annual salary.

It is estimated that the forward's salary at his new team will be around 9 million euros. Trossard's current contract with Arsenal was signed until the summer of 2027.

Although the player signed a new deal last year with a salary increase, the club management considers selling the forward, who is over 30, now as the most optimal option. Selling him for a decent sum while there is still time before the contract expires was found to be beneficial for the club's financial situation.

The official announcement of the transfer is expected to take place after the Belgian national team's participation in the World Cup concludes. Currently, Trossard is preparing for important international matches as one of the key figures of the national team.

Leandro Trossard moved from Brighton to the London team in January 2023. Over time, he served as a versatile player capable of playing in various positions within Mikel Arteta's system.

He appeared in a total of 174 matches for Arsenal, scoring 36 goals and providing 34 assists. In particular, his effective actions on the left wing and in the center of the attack contributed greatly to the team's successes.

The brightest period of the player's career was the 2023-2024 season. At that time, he scored 16 goals in the English Premier League and the Champions League.

For Beşiktaş, this transfer is not only a means of strengthening the squad but also a way to demonstrate their high ambitions on the European stage. Trossard's rich experience and creative playing style will undoubtedly be a great help to the team fighting for victory in the Turkish league.

All formalities related to the transfer are planned to be fully completed in the coming days.
