"Milan" is trying to take Luka Modric from Tottenham

Transfer rumors surrounding Milan have resurfaced with the name of experienced midfielder Luka Modrić, according to Zamin.uz.

The new era at San Siro, marked by the arrival of Ruben Amorim, has completely shifted the club’s outlook on the Croatian star’s future. Currently, the club’s leadership and the new coach are actively discussing the possibility of extending the veteran’s contract for another season.

This was reported by Goal.com. According to Italian media, Amorim began his tenure at Milan by focusing on resolving issues related to the team’s midfield.

The Portuguese specialist held a personal conversation with Modrić, explaining how important his role would be in the new project. Amorim does not see the experienced player merely as a backup option, but as a key pillar in shaping a healthy atmosphere in the dressing room.

With Amorim’s arrival, significant changes are expected not only in results but also in the team’s playing style. The previously cautious approach is giving way to a more attacking and demanding system.

This shift presents a challenge for the 39-year-old Modrić in terms of managing his physical workload. Amorim does not intend to have the Croatian playmaker on the pitch for the full duration of every match, but rather aims to use his qualities strategically in crucial moments.

It is known that Modrić was initially dissatisfied with being left out of influential games and had hesitated about contract extension. However, Amorim’s ambitious plans and the goal of returning Milan to Europe’s elite have reignited the player’s motivation.

Modrić’s decision to stay in Milan is influenced not only by sporting factors but also by family considerations. His family has fully adapted to life in northern Italy.

In particular, his son is successfully training at Milan’s youth academy. This factor is expected to play a key role in encouraging the midfielder to extend his stay.

In the upcoming season, Milan aims to compete not only domestically but also on the international stage. Amorim believes that players like Modrić, with their vast experience, can serve as role models for the younger generation on this demanding path.

At present, the final details of the contract are being reviewed.
