Bavaria Barcelona defender Jules Kounde is planning to buy

Bayern Munich are taking serious steps toward signing Barcelona defender Jules Koundé in an effort to strengthen their backline ahead of the new season, Zamin.uz reports.
The German champions have been impressed by the French international’s consistent performances on the international stage and now view him as a key target, according to Goal.com.
According to BILD, Bayern’s management has recently been in touch with Koundé’s inner circle to assess the possibility of a move to the Allianz Arena. They are closely examining the terms of his contract and his willingness to leave the Catalan capital.
Bayern plan to resolve their defensive issues specifically through the acquisition of Koundé. While the Munich club’s interest is genuine, sources close to the player insist that Koundé currently prefers to remain at Barcelona.
The defender is determined to prove his worth under new head coach Hansi Flick and secure a more permanent place in the starting lineup. Although formal negotiations between the clubs have not yet begun, it is reported that Barcelona’s management has removed Koundé from their list of untouchable players.
Due to financial constraints, the Catalans are open to considering a sale if a suitable offer arrives. Last August, Barcelona extended Koundé’s contract until 2030 to protect him from interest by clubs like Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola has long admired the French defender and wanted to bring him to his side, but Barcelona refused at the time. Jules Koundé has established himself as one of the most reliable players in the French national team on the international stage.
Under Didier Deschamps, he has been a key part of a defensive line alongside William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano. It is precisely this reliability that has caught the attention of Bayern’s scouts.
Barcelona’s leadership now faces a difficult decision: either sell the player for a significant fee or redirect his high level of performance toward the club’s benefit.
Bayern are expected to continue their efforts and increase pressure as the transfer window approaches its close. If the deal goes through, it could become one of the major transfers shaping the upcoming Bundesliga season.
