"Barcelona" to open its official football academy in Uzbekistan

Unexpected and joyful news spread for football enthusiasts and young athletes in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
FC Barcelona, considered one of the world's most prestigious clubs, is planning to open its official football academy in our country. Within this project, an online meeting was held with club representatives led by Sports Minister Adham Ikramov.
The negotiations also included Ravshan Ermatov, First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association, discussing cooperation prospects. The main topic of the conversation with Barcelona club representatives Sesar Martinez and Albert Mundet was the establishment of the Barca Academy international football school in our country.
If the project is implemented, the world-famous La Masia methodology will come to Uzbek football. Through this system, legendary players such as Messi, Xavi and Iniesta were developed, and now young talents from Uzbekistan will also have the opportunity to train under the same program.
It is also planned to invite foreign specialists to improve the qualifications of local coaches. It should be noted that the first such academy in Central Asia began its activities in Kyrgyzstan last year.
Now, this successful experience is planned to be applied in Uzbekistan and systematic scouting work is being scheduled. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to thoroughly study the possibilities of implementing the project and to determine the next stages of cooperation.
According to the One.uz website, this initiative serves as an important foundation for raising the level of football in our country. This academy will not only train talented football players, but also make a significant contribution to the development of sports infrastructure and the formation of modern football philosophy in our country.
In the future, the opening of the Barcelona academy may open the doors for Uzbek youth to Europe's leading clubs. Currently, specialists are conducting a detailed review of the technical and organizational aspects of this project.
Such international projects serve to further strengthen Uzbekistan's influence in the international sports arena.
