Jeff Herst Jud Bellingemning Tomas Tuxelga accepts the answer
England national team legend and 1966 World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst has welcomed the reaction of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham to criticism from head coach Thomas Tuchel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This situation, which arose after the victory in the quarter-final match against Norway, has once again placed the England national team in the spotlight. Hurst praised the young footballer's self-confidence, calling it a sign of a healthy environment and mental sharpness within the squad.
According to Goal.com, the 84-year-old former striker did not hide his satisfaction with the young star's decisiveness. The point is that Thomas Tuchel, despite the quarter-final victory, expressed dissatisfaction with the team's overall performance and noted that the players were not operating at their full potential.
In response, Jude Bellingham gave a short and sharp reply, clearly expressing his view on the coach's criticism. In Hurst's opinion, such character and self-belief could be the key factor that helps the England national team finally win the long-awaited championship title.
He emphasized that such a reaction from the young player demonstrates the team's inner strength. Currently, the England national team is seriously preparing for the semi-final clash against Argentina.
Jeff Hurst expressed confidence in the capabilities of the current squad and belief that the team under Thomas Tuchel's leadership can become world champions. In his view, all four semi-finalists are exactly the strong and deserving teams that experts had predicted.
This suggests that the battle for the trophy will be intense and decisive. At the same time, Hurst drew attention to an interesting statistical fact.
So far, no national team under a foreign coach has ever won the World Cup. If Thomas Tuchel successfully fulfills this task, he will join Sir Alf Ramsey, the architect of England's 1966 victory, in the nation's football history.
Hurst expressed no doubt about the German specialist's ability to study opponents and his tactical knowledge. The legendary footballer stressed that the most important aspect of the current England team is the strength of their team spirit.
He noted that the current generation shares many similarities with the 1966 winning squad. Tuchel speaks of team unity, which, in his view, is the fundamental foundation for success in any area of life, and especially in football.
When players act with one mind, it becomes a decisive factor in achieving the ultimate goal. After Jude Bellingham's successful season at Real Madrid, fans hope he can bring that same winning mentality to the national team.
Minor disagreements between coach and player, in Hurst's view, serve to further unite the team and encourage self-improvement. For now, all attention is focused on the upcoming semi-final against Argentina — a match that the whole world will be watching.
