Jahongir Vohidov won the Abu Dhabi festival and improved his ranking

The traditional and influential 32nd Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival, held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates from August 15 to 24, concluded with a brilliant victory by an Uzbek grandmaster. This is reported by One.uz.

Jahongir Vohidov scored 7 points out of 9 rounds, securing sole first place in the standings and claiming the main prize. As a result of this successful performance, our grandmaster’s tournament rating reached 2508.

Another Uzbek chess player, Muhammadzohid Suyarov, also participated in the festival, scoring 5 points in 9 rounds and finishing in 32nd place. He also demonstrated resilient play against strong opponents, confirming the stability and high level of the Uzbek chess school.

Both grandmasters defended Uzbekistan’s honor at a high level. Future prospects
