"Islam Makhachev" defeated "Charles Oliveira"

In the main event of UFC 330, 34-year-old champion Islam Makhachev secured a hard-fought victory over Irishman Ian Garry in a grueling battle. This is reported by One.uz.
The Dagestani star, who won by unanimous decision, openly discussed the difficulty of the fight. He emphasized that victory always comes first, acknowledging that his opponents’ level of preparation continues to rise.
Makhachev admitted he had expected and planned for the fight to be somewhat easier, but noted that today’s opponents are also preparing thoroughly, making each encounter increasingly tough. He concluded that rivals are getting stronger every day, so he must work even harder.
Garry’s Style and Makhachev’s Tactics
Makhachev pointed out that the Irishman’s physical attributes and passive movement in the octagon made for a less exciting spectacle. Garry’s arms and legs are very long, making it difficult to close the distance.
The only vulnerable spot left open was his lead leg, which Makhachev consistently targeted, successfully executing takedowns.
Because Garry kept retreating, delivering an exciting and entertaining fight proved challenging. The bout was tough, but it did not pose a serious problem for Makhachev.
Everything went according to plan—he simply stayed relentless and carried the fight to a decision. This victory once again proves that Islam Makhachev remains the absolute dominant force in his weight class.
