The Transfermarkt portal has updated its ranking of the most expensive football transfers in history, announcing that the transfer of world champion Enzo Fernández from Chelsea to Manchester City for €145 million has taken fourth place. This is reported by One.uz.

This amount matches the transfer of Alexander Isak from Newcastle to Liverpool and Enzo Maresca’s club-record signing. In the Transfermarkt ranking, Neymar, Mbappé, Dembélé, Isak, and Enzo Fernández are all in the top five, highlighting the financial strength of Premier League clubs.

The Top 10 Most Expensive Transfers in Football History According to Transfermarkt’s analysis, the most expensive football transfers in history are led by Neymar’s move from Barcelona to PSG for €222 million. In second place is Kylian Mbappé’s transfer from Monaco to PSG for €180 million, followed by Ousmane Dembélé’s move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona for €148 million.

In fourth place are Alexander Isak’s transfer from Newcastle to Liverpool and Enzo Fernández’s move from Chelsea to Manchester City, both valued at €145 million. Sixth is Morgan Rogers’ transfer from Aston Villa to Chelsea for €138 million, seventh is Elliot Anderson’s move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City for €135 million, eighth is Philippe Coutinho’s transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona for €135 million, ninth is João Félix’s transfer from Benfica to Atlético Madrid for €127.2 million, and tenth is Jude Bellingham’s transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid for €127 million.

Manchester City’s New Record and PL Dominance Enzo Fernández’s transfer has become Manchester City’s all-time record signing, as the club had never previously spent €145 million on a player. This transfer also underscores the financial power of the Premier League: a significant portion of the high-ranked transfers in the list directly involve Premier League giants — Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

In the global ranking, Isak and Enzo Fernández occupy positions just behind Neymar, Mbappé, and Dembélé, meaning that two Premier League stars are in the top five, further reinforcing the financial dominance of English clubs in world football. Source: One.uz
