Uzbekistan national team rises in FIFA rankings

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has released the latest ranking of national teams. One.uz reports.
Following the international matches held in the autumn, the Uzbekistan national team improved its standing, moving up one spot in the world ranking to take 59th place. With this result, our country’s representatives secured a place in the top five among Asian national teams.
No significant changes were observed at the top of the global football rankings. The Spanish national team continues to firmly hold the first position.
The top four also includes the national teams of Argentina, France, and England. The Portuguese national team improved its position by two spots, rising to fifth place.
In contrast, the national teams of Brazil and Morocco dropped one spot each, settling at sixth and seventh, respectively. The top ten was completed by the national teams of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Mexico.
The situation in Asia Among the member states of the Asian Football Confederation, Japan recorded the highest result. Representatives of the Land of the Rising Sun are currently ranked 17th in the world.
Other leaders in our region also hold high positions. Specifically, Iran is ranked 23rd, Australia 26th, and South Korea 32nd.
The Saudi Arabian national team is placed at 55th, while Uzbekistan is recorded at 59th, following them. The top ten in our continent also includes the national teams of Qatar, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
The rise in the Uzbekistan national team’s ranking is explained by consistent performances and positive results in recent matches. These indicators demonstrate that our national team’s prestige on the international stage is steadily growing.
