Russia remains under UEFA and FIFA sanctions in football. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Under the current circumstances, Russian teams cannot participate in official international tournaments. Valery Karpin, who manages "Dinamo" and the Russian national team, shared his thoughts on when these sanctions might be lifted.
According to him, if permission is granted, it could happen in the fall of 2026 or possibly in March 2027. This means that these restrictions will last for at least one season or even longer.
Karpin stated that if the sanctions are lifted, he will leave "Dinamo" and focus solely on the national team. In the first round of the new season, "Dinamo" will host "Baltika" in the Russian Premier League.
The current situation in the football world is complex, and it will take a lot of time and conditions to be met for Russian teams to return to international competitions.
