For several years, insiders have reported that Apple is considering the possibility of releasing a super-premium Ultra smartphone. Similar rumors also emerged before the release of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16, but the new model was never presented.
According to new information from insider yeux1122, the company has finally decided to implement the idea in the iPhone 17 lineup.
According to the source, the phone will feature an exclusive Dynamic Island small island. It will also have an advanced cooling system using steam chambers and a larger battery. Notably, previously all these innovations were related to various models of the upcoming iPhone 17 series.
According to yeux1122, the new lineup will include:
- iPhone 17;
- iPhone 17 Air;
- iPhone 17 Pro;
- iPhone 17 Ultra.
It was previously reported that both Pro models will have 12 GB of RAM, which is 8 GB more than previous models. Additionally, the Ultra version may have three 48-megapixel cameras - a first in Apple's history.
How true all of this is will be revealed in September when the iPhone 17 series is officially presented.
