Apple is actively working to enter the foldable smartphone market while also preparing updates for its iPhone 17 series. According to renowned insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the company is planning significant changes in both areas.
First, regarding the foldable iPhone. Gurman emphasizes that Apple cannot ignore the growing popularity of foldable devices, especially considering the success of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold design. He believes that Apple will unveil its foldable phone in 2026, with an estimated price around $2000. Gurman thinks that although the initial sales volume may be low, this device could potentially become a hit.
As for the traditional iPhone lineup, Gurman does not expect major news for the base model of the iPhone 17. However, he anticipates minor changes in the main camera system and the introduction of ProMotion displays in the base models.
The biggest changes are expected in the iPhone 17 Pro models, where an improved camera system with three 48-megapixel sensors may be introduced. According to Gurman, the base iPhone 17 model will remain an important element in Apple's lineup due to its price competitiveness. He also recommends that buyers consider the new iPhone 17 Air model, which stands out for its slimness and large screen area.
