According to new requirements from the European Union, Apple devices will be better integrated with Samsung products in the future, Pepelac News reported. The EU is demanding that Apple provide access to AirPlay, AirDrop, and NFC systems for other brands, including Samsung devices.
The Apple ecosystem has been closed for many years, only working on its own devices. However, the EU is forcing Apple to integrate with other brands based on new regulations. This includes not only AirDrop and NFC but also access to background operations, messaging systems, and Wi-Fi data.
According to EU requirements, Apple must fully implement this integration by 2026. This could particularly strengthen collaboration between Apple and Samsung devices in the European market.
Apple has emphasized that such changes could slow down innovation and pose threats to security and privacy.
