Two weeks after Microsoft confirmed the bugs affecting games in Windows 11, it released an update that addresses image and sound issues. Now users can update the operating system without fear of BSOD (blue screen of death) and other problems.
What was the problem?
- Enabling the Auto HDR feature caused freezing or incorrect color transmission issues on some computers.
- Some games stopped responding or completely failed to work.
Solution:
- The KB5050094 update resolves these issues.
- Windows 11 Home and Pro 22H2/23H2 version users can upgrade to this 24H2 version.
- The update is performed manually – it can be downloaded through the optional updates menu or from Microsoft's official website.
Microsoft had previously announced that it had also resolved issues related to headphones and webcams on some devices.
