DOOM has now launched in the Google search bar
Developers have been trying to launch the popular DOOM game on various devices for many years. Previously, this classic shooter was adapted for browsers, but now it has also been launched in the Google search bar.
A developer named Pedro Webber wrote a script that allows DOOM to be launched in the Google search bar. He created a port of the game in Python and adapted it to run through the search engine. Although special adjustments were required during the process, the result was positive. The game runs in black-and-white mode and at a low frame rate, but it can even be controlled via a gamepad.
Similar projects have been implemented before. Another developer had created a script that launches DOOM in a PDF file supported by Chromium browsers. Additionally, the game has also been adapted for CAPTCHA, the Telegram messenger, and other unconventional platforms.
