Lifts in Uzbekistan are checked once a year
In Uzbekistan, it is now mandatory for all installed lifts in buildings and structures to undergo technical inspection at least once a year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This requirement was introduced to ensure the safety of citizens and to maintain constant oversight of the technical condition of lifts. According to the government decision, lifts that are in regular use will undergo detailed inspections by specially certified organizations every 12 months.

Newly installed or commissioned lifts will be inspected by specialists within 10 working days upon the contractor's request, and a report on their condition will be provided. At the end of the inspection, lifts will be given special labels in four different colors.

A green label indicates that the lift is fully operational. A blue label indicates that there are some malfunctions.

A red label signifies that the lift is in a dangerous condition and its use is prohibited. A yellow label warns of a malfunction in the lift.

Relevant services will intensify oversight, and especially after identifying lifts with red labels, their use will be strictly prohibited. Specialists advise citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules when using lifts and to pay attention to all warning signs.

The main goal of these measures is to protect the lives and health of people and to develop urban infrastructure in accordance with modern standards. According to the new regulations, owners of buildings and structures will be required to regularly monitor the technical condition of lifts.
