The military education system will be integrated into the new university

The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, got acquainted with the presentation of proposals for improving the military education system on July 29. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The presentation revealed plans to reform the Armed Forces Academy and establish the University of Military Security and Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan based on it. All military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense, including five institutes, the Higher School for Sergeant Training, and the Institute for Training Specialists in Aviation and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, will be incorporated into this university.

The new system will ensure centralized vertical management, enhance the combat capabilities of the troops, expand dual education, and implement scientific research into practice. A new educational system will be established at the Higher School for Sergeant Training to improve skills in modern weapons and new tactical methods, as well as to develop the leadership abilities of sergeants.

Additionally, a "2+2" system will be introduced for narrow specialties. According to this system, specialists from 18 different related fields, such as psychologists, communicators, suppliers, and warehouse workers, will be selected from among second-stage students of other higher education institutions.

To support talented youth, starting from the new academic year, a competitive "Supreme Commander" state scholarship will be awarded to graduating cadets. The holder of this scholarship will be admitted to the master's program of higher military educational institutions without exams for five years after completing their bachelor's degree.

Now, graduates of 36 educational programs of higher military educational institutions will hold two diplomas. They will be specialists in both civilian and military professions.

Within the framework of these reforms, the selection and screening process for military educators will be strengthened, and a system for training them in leading foreign countries will be implemented. At the end of the presentation, these proposals were approved, and instructions were given for their effective implementation.
