The construction of paid highways leading from Tashkent to the cities of Samarkand and Andijan is planned to start in 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The fiscal strategy of the Ministry of Economy and Finance for 2026–2028 officially approves this project. According to the project, modern and safe paid highways that meet international standards will be built on the Tashkent–Samarkand and Tashkent–Andijan routes.
Initially, these projects were scheduled to be implemented in 2025, but due to technical and organizational reasons, the construction work has been postponed by a year. At the same time, the ministry is developing a comprehensive program of measures aimed at repairing international highways and improving the capacity and safety of existing roads.
The newly constructed roads will serve to modernize the transport infrastructure of our country, improve internal and external logistics flows, and accelerate economic development. The source of this information is: zamin.uz.
