In 2024, the production of sheep meat in Uzbekistan increased
In 2024, a new record was set in the field of sheep and goat meat production in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the National Statistics Committee, a total of 475.2 thousand tons of live weight sheep and goat meat was produced in the country last year. A large portion of this figure, namely 432.8 thousand tons, comes from household and backyard farms.

This once again confirms the importance of household farms in the agricultural sector. Additionally, 22.7 thousand tons of meat were produced by farms, while organizations engaged in agriculture produced 19.7 thousand tons of meat.

Experts believe that strengthening the feed base and introducing advanced technologies are necessary for the development of local livestock. These measures will allow for an increase in meat production volume.
