A new international airport is planned to be built in the Tashkent region in the coming years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This project is being implemented to develop Uzbekistan's aviation infrastructure, create convenience for passengers, and expand international connections. Currently, the airport located in Tashkent city is not capable of accommodating the expected flow of up to 15 million passengers by 2030.
For this reason, the government and responsible organizations have decided to build a new airport. The project will be financed on the basis of public-private partnership.
Currently, proposals are coming from various countries, including interest from leading foreign companies. The new airport will be built outside the city center, in a strategically advantageous location.
It will be equipped with modern technologies based on international standards and requirements, allowing for fast and quality service for passengers. Additionally, the construction of logistics centers, hotels, and business facilities around the airport is planned.
This will not only enhance tourism and transit potential but also contribute to the development of the local economy. The launch of the new airport will open new opportunities not only for Tashkent but for the entire country (source: zamin.uz)
