
On July 30, 2025, a decision numbered PQ–238 on "Approval of the International Agreement" was signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
With this decision, a number of international documents of significant importance between the two countries have been officially approved. In particular, the agreements signed between the governments of Uzbekistan and France in Paris on March 12, 2025, came into force.
One of these agreements establishes a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports. This grants diplomats from both countries the right to enter without a visa during short-term trips.
Additionally, family members of official embassy staff are permitted to engage in labor activities. That is, family members of diplomatic mission members will have the opportunity to work in paid jobs in France or Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been designated as the responsible authority for implementing these agreements. Furthermore, the Cabinet of Ministers and other relevant ministries and agencies have been tasked with ensuring the implementation of these agreements and monitoring their practical application.
This agreement is considered to be of significant importance in further strengthening political and diplomatic relations between the two countries (Source: zamin.uz)
