The trade relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are strengthening year by year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in the first half of 2025, Kyrgyzstan has become one of Uzbekistan's main trading partners. Especially in the carpet industry, trade exchanges between the two countries are developing rapidly.
From January to June 2025, Uzbekistan exported a total of 3.6 million square meters of carpets abroad, with a total value of 10.8 million US dollars. A significant portion of the exported carpets, namely 1 million 86 thousand square meters, was sent specifically to Kyrgyzstan.
This situation indicates that Kyrgyzstan is one of the largest markets for Uzbekistan's carpet products. Additionally, other main countries importing carpets from Uzbekistan include Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
Their import volumes are 969 thousand, 725 thousand, 429 thousand, and 334 thousand square meters, respectively. A total of 61 thousand square meters of carpets were exported to other countries.
