
On August 4, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, set off on a working visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The President's press service provided this information. President Mirziyoyev will participate in the third conference of landlocked developing countries organized by the UN, which will be held in the city of Avaza.
This event is dedicated to strengthening cooperation in the transport sector, simplifying trade processes, economic reforms, preparing for climate change and ecological risks, as well as achieving sustainable development goals. At the end of the conference, a political declaration and action plan are expected to be adopted in Avaza.
Additionally, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also participate in an event dedicated to preparing for the seventh Consultative Meeting of the Central Asian leaders. During the visit, the President is expected to hold bilateral meetings and negotiations.
