Meat production in Uzbekistan is increasing year by year
Meat production in Uzbekistan is increasing every year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This is important not only for meeting the food needs of the population but also for ensuring price stability in the domestic market. According to the National Statistics Committee, in 2024, all types of farms in our country produced a total of 2 million 137 thousand tons of cattle meat.

This figure clearly reflects the role of farmers and gardeners in ensuring food security. According to statistics, farms produced 112.6 thousand tons, while gardeners and subsidiary farms produced 1 million 962.1 thousand tons of meat.

Additionally, agricultural organizations supplied 63 thousand tons of meat. Approximately 90 percent of the total meat produced comes from gardeners and personal subsidiary farms.

This indicates the effective use of household plots by the population, the potential of small farms, and the development of farming culture. Today, fully supplying the domestic market with meat, especially during times of high demand, is of great importance in reducing the need for imports.

Large markets in Tashkent city, particularly five main markets, are creating favorable conditions for buyers with the decrease in cattle meat prices. This positively affects the purchasing power of the population and fosters a healthy competitive environment in the market.

Experts believe that in the future, strengthening the economy of the country can be achieved by increasing meat production, developing the processing industry, and expanding export opportunities. Meat is not only a food source but also a significant indicator of the labor of millions of people, market stability, and quality of life.

Therefore, the labor of every farmer and gardener is of great importance in ensuring national values and food security. (Source: National Statistics Committee)
