Fruit and berry cultivation has increased in Uzbekistan

The volume of strawberry and other berry cultivation in Uzbekistan is increasing year by year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the data from the National Statistics Committee for January-June 2025, a total of 1 million 151.3 thousand tons of fruits and berries were produced by all types of farms. This figure is 6.6 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous year.

Experts attribute the increase in fruit production to modern irrigation technologies, intensive horticultural methods, and reforms in the gardening sector. Farmer households produced 463.9 thousand tons, dehkan and backyard farms produced 661.3 thousand tons, while agricultural organizations produced 26.1 thousand tons.

These figures indicate the growth and increasing efficiency in Uzbekistan's agricultural sector. The increase in the volume of fruit and berry cultivation ensures a rise in the availability of quality and natural products for consumers and strengthens export potential.
