399 billion soums were recovered from the tax base malfunction

According to the Tax Committee, due to a technical malfunction in the database, a total of 399.3 billion soums were withdrawn unjustifiably from the accounts of 30.1 thousand taxpayers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

In this case, various amounts of money were withdrawn from different numbers of taxpayers. In particular, 7,203 taxpayers had amounts up to 100 thousand soums withdrawn, 10,165 had amounts from 100 thousand to 1 million soums, 8,270 had amounts from 1 million to 10 million soums, 3,780 had amounts from 10 million to 100 million soums, 672 had amounts from 100 million to 1 billion soums, and 10 had amounts exceeding 1 billion soums withdrawn incorrectly.

The tax authorities are taking necessary measures to return these funds to the taxpayers' accounts. All relevant conclusions have been submitted to the Treasury, and the refund process is being carried out automatically.

No written application is required from citizens. As of 18:00 today, a total of 274.7 billion soums have been refunded to 20,608 entities.
