The 'O'tukchu' checkpoint located on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan has been temporarily closed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In its place, the 'Apkan' border crossing point has started operations. This was announced by the State Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Now, citizens and vehicles wishing to cross the border will be directed to the temporary 'Apkan' crossing point. This crossing point operates daily from 07:00 to 23:00.
The 'Apkan' border crossing point is intended only for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The border service advises citizens to be informed about this change in advance and to plan their travels accordingly.
