Requirements set for employees serving in the Internal Affairs system in Tajikistan are considered very strict. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
They must not only possess professional qualifications and discipline but also meet the established standards in physical fitness and appearance. For this reason, the Ministry of Internal Affairs pays special attention to the issue of excess weight and dismisses employees who do not meet these requirements from service.
According to the data, last year the Ministry of Internal Affairs dismissed 30 employees due to excess weight who did not meet the physical appearance standards. After one year, only 13 of them managed to reduce their body weight and were reinstated to service.
The rest were unable to meet the established standards. This was announced by Husayn Khalilzoda, head of the personnel and staff department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to him, last year nearly 20,000 employees underwent physical fitness testing, and 30 of them were dismissed from their positions due to exceeding the weight limit. However, they were given an opportunity — if they reduce their weight to the specified limit, they can return to their positions.
According to ministry regulations, male candidates serving in the Tajik police must be at least 168 centimeters tall, and females at least 160 centimeters. At the same time, their weight must be proportional to their height and must not exceed the established norm.
Experts believe that such strict requirements are aimed at improving the physical condition of employees, increasing service efficiency, and ensuring public safety. Every employee serving in the Internal Affairs system must be prepared not only physically but also mentally (source: zamin.uz).
