The Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department issued an important warning to students on the eve of the new academic year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In recent years, students coming to the capital from various regions of our country for education and their family members have increasingly encountered various fraud cases. The most common problem is deception related to rental issues.
Fraudsters post photos of houses that do not belong to them on the internet, presenting them as being rented out at low prices. People who trust such offers pay money in advance.
However, after the requested amount is transferred, it becomes impossible to contact the fraudsters; they close their pages and block people. As a result, the student and their relatives end up with neither a home nor access to the promised accommodation.
For this reason, the Internal Affairs Department advises the public: never pay in advance without seeing the house with your own eyes. Sign the rental agreement only after talking to the homeowner and seeing the property personally.
Also, do not give your personal information to strangers. Law enforcement agencies emphasize the necessity of informing parents and relatives about this danger.
Because only by acting legally can fraud cases be reduced. We call on students and their families to be cautious and increase vigilance.
If each of us is aware, fighting fraudsters will become easier. Source: Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department.
