The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, announced the launch of Wi-Fi service for passengers on "Afrosiyob" high-speed trains. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, this service allows passengers to conveniently connect to the internet during their journey, making train trips more efficient and enjoyable. The minister emphasized on his social media page that during a recent train trip to Bukhara, he discovered that many passengers were unaware of Uztelecom's Wi-Fi service.
Additionally, Sherzod Shermatov tested the service by watching videos about useful books on the YouTube platform. It was noted that installing additional equipment inside the high-speed trains is necessary to implement the Wi-Fi service.
In the future, newly purchased trains are planned to be equipped from the start with modern telecommunications devices. According to the minister, external communication signals may face difficulties reaching passengers in high-speed trains and metal-bodied carriages.
Therefore, special devices need to be installed in such cases. These updates were announced through the “One.uz” website.
