
From January to June 2025, the number of twin babies in Uzbekistan has increased significantly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, a total of 9,738 twin babies were born across the country during this half-year period. This figure not only indicates demographic growth but also reflects a new trend in birth rates within families.
The distribution of twin births by region is as follows: 451 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 883 in Andijan region, 486 in Bukhara region, 410 in Jizzakh region, 1,054 in Kashkadarya region, 233 in Navoi region, 778 in Namangan region, 1,197 in Samarkand region, 856 in Surkhandarya region, 258 in Syrdarya region, 686 in Tashkent region, 1,172 in Fergana region, 544 in Khorezm region, and 730 in Tashkent city.
The highest number of twin births was recorded in Samarkand and Fergana regions, while Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions also showed high figures. The lowest number of twin babies was born in Navoi and Jizzakh regions.
Twin babies bring great joy and responsibility to families. Experts emphasize that twins require special care and attention, especially during their first year, which is crucial for their health and development.
During this period, continuous monitoring and support from parents and medical staff are necessary. The data recorded over this half-year provide important insights into the demographic situation of our country and the social conditions of young families.
Based on this, the government and healthcare organizations can develop special programs and expand counseling services. Thus, the birth of twin babies in Uzbekistan is not only a statistical indicator but also an important trend reflecting family values and the future generation.
