The voting phase of the second season of the “Participatory Budget” program for 2025 has officially begun. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This process was organized to ensure active public participation in various projects and to take into account the opinions of the population. According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, a total of 22,263 projects were submitted by citizens this season, of which 18,656 were advanced to the voting stage.
However, complaints have been received from citizens regarding the unjustified rejection of projects by the working commission in some districts, particularly in the Oltinko‘l and Ulug‘nor districts of Andijan region. Therefore, the ministry sent official requests to review the projects again based on current legislative norms, but the district working commissions did not comply with this requirement.
As a result, the voting process will not be held in these districts during the second season. Citizens can vote for their projects using the “Open Budget” portal website, Android and iOS mobile applications, as well as the official bot on Telegram.
Voting will end at 23:59 on August 31. This opportunity provides citizens with a broad chance to freely express their opinions and actively support local projects.
Socially active citizens and project participants can effectively use this process to contribute to the development of their regions (source: zamin.uz).
