Increased dust particles in Nukus and Urgench
On August 22, the amount of dust particles in the air significantly increased in the cities of Nukus and Urgench due to strong winds. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The wind speed ranged from 9.2 to 10 kilometers per hour. In Urgench, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, PM10 particles increased from 1.1 to 5.1 times above the norm, while PM2.5 particles rose from 2.9 to 13.9 times.

In Nukus, PM10 dust particles increased up to 3.3 times above the norm, and PM2.5 particles rose up to 20 times. Authorities recommend that the population take precautions due to the increased dust in the air.

Such conditions can negatively affect the respiratory system and pose health risks. Therefore, especially those with respiratory diseases and children need to be more cautious.
