The procedure for collecting sponsorship donations has been clearly defined based on the amendments introduced by the Ministry of Justice to the legislation. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, if employees of state bodies unlawfully interfere in the activities of non-governmental non-profit organizations, they will be fined from seven to ten times the established base calculation amount. Additionally, ordinary citizens who violate the rules for collecting donations will be fined from three to five times the base calculation amount, while officials will face fines from five to seven times the base amount.
According to the new procedure, charitable funds must be collected only within the pre-announced timeframes and for specified purposes. Cash funds must be collected through special transparent boxes, which are required to be sealed with a special seal or numbered seal.
Transferring cash to bank accounts is allowed only as an exception in cases specified by law. This procedure aims to ensure the transparency of sponsorship donations and prevent unlawful interference.
