600 kg of unfit meat was confiscated in Tashkent

Unfit meat illegally brought into the capital was seized. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was found that more than 600 kilograms of meat products were transported from the Kashkadarya region to Tashkent without proper documentation and in violation of sanitary regulations. This meat was placed in the passenger cabin and cargo compartment of a Cobalt model car.

Laboratory tests revealed that this meat was completely unfit for consumption. The products were burned for disposal purposes.

Additionally, during the current year, more than 1.5 tons of unfit meat were prevented from entering consumption in the Jizzakh region. In this case, a report was drawn up against a 29-year-old driver under the relevant articles of the Administrative Liability Code, and he was fined 412 thousand soums.

Relevant authorities urge the public to be cautious when purchasing meat products. Buyers must demand a medical booklet and veterinary certificate from the seller before buying any meat.

Because products sold without documentation can pose a serious risk to consumers' health. Every citizen must be demanding and attentive to protect themselves and their loved ones.
