
The 2025/2026 academic year in Uzbekistan will begin on Tuesday, September 2. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, lessons will start on this date in all general education institutions across the republic. The first hours of the new academic year will have special symbolic significance.
In every school, the first lesson will be held under the slogan “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People!” and these sessions will be called “The Hour of the Future.” This initiative serves to strengthen national pride, patriotism, and spiritual values in the minds of young people.
Additionally, joyful news will be presented to more than 738 thousand children starting school for the first time in 2025. By the President’s initiative, they will be ceremoniously given the “President’s Gift,” which includes 12 types of school supplies.
This gift not only encourages students to pursue knowledge but also helps them move forward on their new educational path with confidence and inspiration. Furthermore, the start date of the academic year varies depending on the level of education.
For students studying at academic lyceums and first-year students of higher education institutions, classes will begin on September 3. Senior students will continue their studies from September 8.
