The National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan has published data on the number of foreign tourists visiting the country from January to July 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During this period, more than 6 million 319 thousand foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan. This figure increased by nearly 2.1 million compared to the same period last year, representing a 48.9% growth.

The majority of tourists came from neighboring countries. Specifically, more than 1 million 846 thousand from Kyrgyzstan, over 1 million 466 thousand from Kazakhstan, and 1 million 441 thousand from Tajikistan visited.

Additionally, more than 536 thousand tourists came from Russia, 267 thousand from Afghanistan, and over 208 thousand from Turkmenistan. Citizens from China (103 thousand), Turkey (96 thousand), India (38 thousand), and the Republic of Korea (over 25 thousand) also visited Uzbekistan.

The purposes of tourists' visits were varied. Among them, 4 million 338 thousand came for family meetings.

Nearly 949 thousand individuals chose Uzbekistan for full tourism purposes. Furthermore, more than 710 thousand came on business trips, over 255 thousand for commercial activities, 54 thousand for medical treatment, and more than 10 thousand tourists arrived for educational purposes.

Experts emphasize that the tourism sector in Uzbekistan is developing year by year. This not only enhances the country's international reputation but also significantly contributes to economic growth.
