
On August 24, 2025, a fire broke out at the "Polvon ota" cemetery located in the Ishtixon district of Samarkand region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The fire was reported by the Samarkand Regional Emergency Situations Department. The incident was identified based on a call received by the "112" system at 17:10.
Rapid fire-rescue teams arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire from 17:30. By 19:00, the fire was completely extinguished.
As a result of the fire, approximately 50 sotix of weeds and other plants in the cemetery area were burned. No individuals were injured or harmed.
Currently, a pre-investigation inquiry is underway regarding the incident. It is observed that fires often occur due to the abundance of gardens, parks, or plants.
Therefore, it is extremely important to be prepared for emergencies, take safety measures, and conduct regular inspections. This incident highlights the necessity to strengthen measures to ensure fire safety in public places and cemeteries.
