A new effective program has been introduced in Uzbekistan to train unemployed individuals and members of poor families in professions and foreign languages. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the government resolution dated August 20, 2025, a procedure has been established for providing vouchers to unemployed persons and members of poor families for learning professions and languages. According to this procedure, the training expenses of unemployed or officially income-less members of families included in the "Register of Poor Families" will be covered based on vouchers.
Within the framework of the program, a special electronic system — ecosys.mehnat.uz — operates. Applicants can submit applications for obtaining vouchers through this system.
Additionally, applications are also accepted through the mahalla citizens' assemblies and employment centers. After submitting an application, unemployed persons are first offered available job vacancies.
If the offered job is not suitable or does not match the applicant's specialty, the issue of providing a voucher is considered. Voucher recipients can use it for courses in professions or languages within three months.
This opportunity grants them the right to receive free education once. This program yields positive results in social and economic spheres and serves to reduce poverty.
