6.3 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025
It has been reported that more than 6.3 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan from January to July 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the majority of these tourists were individuals aged between 31 and 55, numbering over 3.2 million. This age group constitutes the main portion of tourists visiting the country.

By age distribution, nearly 849 thousand were aged 0 to 18, while those aged 19 to 30 exceeded 1 million. The number of tourists aged 56 and above was close to 1.2 million.

These figures clearly show the age composition of tourists coming to Uzbekistan. The number of tourists from neighboring countries has increased significantly.

From January to May 2025, the number of foreign citizens visiting Uzbekistan reached 4.2 million, representing a 48.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The highest number of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, totaling around 1.3 million.

Following are Tajikistan (993.7 thousand) and Kazakhstan (889.6 thousand). Additionally, it was noted that 334 thousand tourists came from Russia, 199 thousand from Afghanistan, 142 thousand from Turkmenistan, 65 thousand from Turkey, 51 thousand from China, 28 thousand from India, and over 17 thousand from Italy.

The number of tourists from other countries amounted to 201 thousand. In the first five months of 2023, the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan was 2.6 million.

During this period, the number of Chinese tourists was around 9.6 thousand, and in 2025 their number has increased fivefold. This indicates a growing share of Chinese citizens among tourists visiting the country.

Uzbekistan’s growth in the tourism sector and opportunities to capture new markets are expected to play an important role in the future development of the country’s economy. These data were provided by the National Statistics Committee (source: stat.uz).
