The “Trade-up” program has been introduced for those who want to buy a new car in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This program was officially approved by a government decree on August 22. Through the “Trade-up” program, users can return their existing car and pay an additional amount to purchase a new car.
This mechanism is similar to the “Trade-in” program, which also allowed exchanging an old car for a new one. In the new program, physical and legal persons are not required to notarize the sale when selling a car to a distributor or dealer organization.
However, notarized consent of spouses is considered necessary. The legislation clearly defines the concepts of “Trade-in” and “Trade-up.”
The “Trade-in” program means exchanging an old car for a new one, while “Trade-up” means returning the old car and obtaining a new car. A distributor organization is defined as a legal entity that has an agreement with the manufacturer.
A dealer organization refers to an entity that has a dealership agreement with the distributor or manufacturer. Thus, the new program simplifies the car purchasing process and creates convenience for buyers.
