President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally inspected the new airport built on the basis of the “Tashkent-East” airfield on August 27 and assessed the readiness of the project. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
With the development of our country and the increase of its status in the international arena, relations with the world are actively developing. In this regard, consistent measures are being implemented to proportionally develop all directions of transport infrastructure.
The business aviation complex built on the basis of the “Tashkent-East” airfield has been under construction since 2017. Despite the pandemic and subsequent difficulties, the major facilities of the project have been successfully completed.
The new airport occupies an area of 561 hectares. The runway is 4 kilometers long, three taxiways have been completely renovated, and it is capable of accommodating the heaviest aircraft.
Space for 20 aircraft has been allocated on the apron. Special hangars have been constructed for large liners such as the “Boeing 787”, “A320”, business jets, and helicopters.
These hangars ensure technical safety throughout the year, providing a warm environment in winter and a cool one in summer. As a convenient part of the infrastructure, VIP and CIP terminals have also been established.
The hall designed for high-ranking guests is equipped with all conditions for official receptions, negotiations, and briefings. The CIP terminal can accommodate 100 passengers per hour and includes shops and dining facilities.
The new airport is equipped with advanced radio-technical and meteorological equipment of ICAO III-A category. This allows safe takeoff and landing operations even in adverse weather conditions.
The strategic location of the airport serves to make it an important transport hub for the capital and New Tashkent. International visits and business trips will increase, and favorable conditions will be created for foreign investors.
As a result, economic relations will develop, the service sector will expand, and new jobs will be created. During a conversation with public activists and elders, the head of state emphasized that this airport will further strengthen the statehood of our country.
He also noted the easing of the load at Tashkent International Airport and the start of large projects in other regions. The President wished peace and stability, and hoped that the new facilities and prosperity would be a blessing for our people.
Thus, the “Tashkent-East” airport will not only be an important center for business aviation but will also play a significant role in enhancing our country's international logistics and investment attractiveness. Source: zamin.uz
