During 2024, a total of 4.8 million people visited museums in our country. This number indicates the development of the tourism sector.
Additionally, approximately 1.4 million of the visitors were foreign tourists. This shows that the international reputation of museums in Uzbekistan is increasing.
The Samarkand State Museum-Reserve is among the top five most visited museums by tourists. This museum welcomed 1,035,325 guests in 2024.
The Registan Ensemble Directorate received 908,225 visitors. This historical site is located in the city of Samarkand and has retained its charm over the centuries.
Furthermore, the State Museum of Glory received 656,355 visitors, while the Bukhara State Museum-Reserve hosted 489,208 guests. The Ichan-Qala State Museum-Reserve was visited by 456,917 tourists.
These museums stand out with their ancient architectural style and historical heritage. Officials emphasize that interest in museums in Uzbekistan is increasing year by year.
